◆Purpose

 

In the wake of the global recession which began in October 2008, an increasing international students were forced to give up higher education due to the lack of finances to cover living expenses. To help such students to pursue their academic careers without any economic concerns, the Foundation has secured student dorms at six cities across the country (Sapporo, Sendai, Tokyo area, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka) and offers reasonable rates for such dorm rooms under the name of Gakushu Shorei Ryo, literally “dormitories that encourage learning,” thereby supporting the livelihood of Japanese and international students and enhancing their will to learn.
